<ul>Hikkaduwa beach has located 98 km from Colombo. It is famous for white-sandy beaches, idyllic sunsets, and prime surfing spots. Hikkaduwa vibrant nightlife and events on the beach are popular for the whole night from sunset to sunrise enjoyment.<br>

The southern part comprises the surfing beaches of Narigama and Wewala where the bars, restaurants, and beach clubs with budget guesthouses are operated. The northern part is protected by a near-shore reef with a gorgeous curved bay where the corals are situated. Hence waves are rather calm and easy for snorkeling. The most up-market hotels and resorts are located in this part.
