DAY - 1 (Airport – Kuruwita) |

<ul><li>At the arrival lounge of Colombo Airport, you will be received by your chauffeur guide who will take care of you for the next 16 Days and transfer you to Kuruwita – approximately 2 hours’ drive.<br></li><li>Check in to the hotel and relax for a few hours.</li><li>Around 11 am start a hike to Batadombalena cave. It is an hours’ hike up a jungle-covered mountain from Kuruwita which has yielded the evidence (at 8,000BDE) of anatomically modern man in Sri Lanka referred to as “Balangoda Man”. The rock caves were provided with the basic architectural components of shelter, protective places, and solid bases, for primitive people who are looking for protection from natural threats of rain, wind, and wild beasts. You will be able to find stone tools that are interpreted as arrows - or spearheads and carefully shaped and perforated beads made from ostrich eggshell fragments. </li><li>En-route visit Bopath Ella Waterfall and Rathnapura Archaeological Museum. </li><li>Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Serenity Resort & SPA, Kuruwita</li></ul> |

<ul><li>Early morning starts Trekking to Ella Rock. You will pass through beautiful countryside, tea plantations, and railway lines till you reach the peak. It will take about 4 hours for a complete trek from start to end. <br></li><li>Late breakfast at the hotel</li><li>Relax at Ella. You can explore the “Nine arch bridge” and “Demodara Loop” lays the railway line between Demodara and Ella. One is a 15.5 m height Buddha statue and the other figures are Avalokitesvara, Maitreya, Manjushri, and Tara which all belong to Mahayana Buddhist Tradition.</li><li>Visit to explore the traditional art of making curd from buffalo milk. <ul><li>Breakfast at the hotel <br></li><li>Transfer you to Mirissa – Approximately 2 and a half hours’ drive.</li><li>En-route hike to explore temple paintings, Mulkirigala temple.</li><li>Explore Beeralu lace crafts in Matara. </li><li>Beeralu was introduced by the Portuguese and has now become an indigenous craft and developed into a reputed household industry, mostly around the South Western Coast. It is quite fascinating to see how the hands dexterously handle the tools to create intricate patterns.</li><li>Around 3.00 pm come to the Mirissa Fisheries harbour for 1 night sailing cruise. Set sail at 4 pm on 53’ catamaran into the sunset. You can swim, paddleboard, or join surfers in Weligama bay. </li><li>Dinner is served on board.</li></ul> |

<ul><li>Awake at sunrise and enjoy a cooked hot breakfast while witnessing Whales and Dolphins.</li><li>Lunch is also served at noon and will be back in Mirissa harbour at around 1 pm.</li><li>Then transfer you to Bentota. Approximately 1 and a half hours’ drive.</li><li>En-route visit the port city of Galle the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site. The Portuguese and the Dutch use Galle as the main seaport on the island. A lot of historical, archaeological, and architectural colonial remains are there in Galle. Of which the Galle Fort is main and the best. It is Asia's largest remaining fortress built by European occupiers. The moonstones are mined here sold as unmounted stones or mounted with rings, earrings, and neckless that you can buy.</li><li>Then visit Ambalangoda to explore world-famous Sri Lankan Marks and their craftsmen.</li><li>They will explain to you how this ornamental facial decorative wear originated and the way they used in healing rites and rituals.</li><li>Then visit to meet “Rukada” performing group living in Ambalangoda</li><li>Sri Lankan form of marionette theatre and its puppets are called “Rukada”. Only a few groups living in Ambalangoda performs this theatre act now.
