The caves at Thanthirimale had been inhabited by the Megalithic man in Sri Lanka where Paleolithic cave paintings and some primitive drawings done by Veddah people were discovered. </li><li>Mary’s Church at Madhu located 50 km south-east of Mannar was started built in 1876, home to the statue of Our Lady of Madhu. The remote village of Madhu has been also sacred to Buddhists and Hindus due to the Pattini Devale shrine being built there in the period of 114 – 136 AD.</li><li>Ketheeswaram temple or Thirukketeeswaram Kovil, one of the five historical Sri Lankan Shiva temples is located 10 km east of Mannar town.</li><li>Mannar fort was firstly built by the Portuguese in 1560 and rebuilt by the Dutch in 1696.</li><li>Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Agape, Mannar.<br></li></ul> |

Today it is called Adam’s Bridge and there are 16 islets of 8 belongs to Sri Lanka. If you are coming here in the month of July most probably you will be able to participate annual Kataragama Pada Yathra with the devotees from the Northern and Eastern coasts of the country. <br></li><li>You will be picked up at 5.00 am and will reach the entrance by 6.00 am. You will be able to see leopards, elephants, and other animals and birds. A lot of residents and migratory birds and crocodiles would be able to see the “Kumana Villu” area. </li><li>
Afternoon visit Kudumbigala Buddhist Monastery at the top of a rock, about 26 Km south of Arugam Bay. It is about 2 hours hike to the top of the rock and the view from the top is amazing. </li><li>
On the way from kudumbugala to Arugam Bay, the unique village of Panama is found. This is the one and the only village that inhabitants though predominantly Sinhala are all Tamil speaking (as a mother tongue). This epitomizes the rich cultural diversity of the country.
