<p>Kitulgala has located 60 km South-West of Kandy at the Colombo-Nuwara Eliya road. The rain forest patch at the Kitulgala adds natural beauty to the area. The film “The Bridge on the River Kwai” that won 8 Academy Awards in 1958 was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala. However, nothing has remained now except the concrete foundations for the bridge. Kelani river flows through the Kitulgala. It provides the best stretch of water for white water rafting in Sri Lanka. There are plenty of adventures other than white water rafting that can be done in Kutulgala. As per your interest and strength, you can select your adventure activities during this one–day tour.</p><p>Adventure activities to choose from:<br></p><p><b><u>White water rafting</u></b><br></p><p>It is all about excitement, relaxation and teamwork that you will enjoy multiple sensations, the exhilaration and thrill from nature's powerful forces at work. The whitewater and the respect that it commands will thrill you in the spectacular scenery that encompasses there throughout the journey. Further, you will relish the contentment of the achievement and fulfilment of personal and team challenges met and mastered along the way. The journey takes 90 minutes for the total distance of 6.5 km under the Grade 02 and 03 rapids.<br></p><p><b><u>Jungle Track, Rock Sliding with Confident Jump</u></b><br></p><p>The journey takes approximately two and half hours to reach the destination and return. It is about 02 Km walking distance and the natural rock on the way provides one the thrill of sliding into the water of the lagoon. It is an interesting and enthusiastic event that provides maximum fun. Further, this includes a jump from the natural rock into the deep water, which will help one to build up confidence. <br></p><p><b><u>Mountain Cycling Tour – To Belilena Cave</u></b><br></p><p>This is a world-class cycling trail covering, mountains, valleys, tropical rain forests, reservoirs, ancient cities, and remote villages. Furthermore, this will be a learning intervention to a 2500-year culture and an insight into a unique way of life in this land of discoveries.<br></p><p><b><u>Water Fall Abseiling</u></b> <br></p><p>Nothing can beat the thrill and excitement experienced when one confronts abseiling down the 15- meters height Waterfall, “Sandun Ella”. This waterfall is 30 Meters (100ft) high, joins the Kelani river. <br></p><p><b><u>Solo Kayaking</u></b><br></p><p>Paddle through the Kelani river while exploring the flora and fauna of the surrounding lush environment.
