This 108 km long, A-26 road from Kandy to Padiyatalawa through Digana, Teldeniya, Medamahanuwara, Hunnasgiriya, Udadumbara Passara, and Mahiyanaganaya has been considered the most beautiful and most difficult motorway in the country. The 55 km is the starting point of the zigzag 18-hairpin bends. The height of that point is 662 m above sea level where a large viewing platform for visitors.
