Description

<ul>Gal Oya national park spreads across the Ampara and Badulla Districts in the southeastern part of Sri Lanka. It is situated about 314 km away from Colombo. The National Park was established in 1954 for the purpose of protecting the catchment area of a reservoir named ‘Senanayake Samudraya’, one of the largest inland water-bodies which was built by damming the Gal Oya at an area called Inginiyagala.</br>
