Decsription

<ul>Dutch fort Batticaloa was firstly built in 1628 by the Portuguese. It was destroyed by the Dutch in 1639. After that Dutch was renovated and completed in 1707. It has a structure of four bastions. Fort can best be seen on a boat ride in Batticaloa lagoon.
