<ul>Tangalle beaches stretch out as long as your eyes can see. The relatively mild climate and finest series of bays with deepest blue water are compelling to feels that you are somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The large series of bays in Tangalle, the southern tip of the island is protected by an enclosing reef that favours safe swimming and sunbathing.<br>
<br>Parewella natural swimming area in front of Tangalle Resthouse is a stunning place for safe swimming.<br>
<br>To the west of Tangalle, the adjoining beaches of Goyambokka and Pallikaduwa are offered excellent locations for sea bathing. Most of the up-market villas and hotels are located there.<br>
<br>To the east of Tangalle, the long sandy beaches of Medaketiya and Medilla are located. Sunbathing is a famous activity on those beaches. A lot of budget hotels are situated there.
