<ul><p>The ferry service operated until 1984 between the Talaimannar westernmost tip of Sri Lanka and Dhanuskodi, the easternmost tip of the peninsula of southern India along the Adam’s Bridge as a part of the Indo-Lanka railway service. Tickets could be obtained from railway stations in both countries.
