<ul>Udawalawe elephant transit home, located bordering Udawalawa reservoir within the Udawalawe national park is an orphanage for refuge baby elephants who are destitute, wounded, or motherless. It provides shelter, food, and security until the elephants are big and strong enough to be released back to the wilderness to start their normal life.</br>
<br>Milk feeding for the little calves is a fascinating scene to watch. That is happening every 3 hours daily. Visitors can see the baby elephant feeding at 9.00 am, 12.00 noon, 3.00 pm, and 6.00 pm.
