<ul>Richmond Castle, located in the palatota area, 3 km from Kalutara is an Edwardian mansion house. It was built by philanthropist, Mudaliyar Arthur de Silva Wijesinghe Siriwardena from 1900 to 1910. This two-storey mansion house has 16 rooms, 34 windows, and 99 doors. The staircase was built using Burma teak. At present, it was owned by Public Trustee. </ul>
