Approximately 2 and half hours’ drive if you drive directly.</li><li>En-route visit to see gem pit and gem mining, Ratnapura Saman Devalaya, famous Kalutara Boodiya and stupa at Gangatilaka Viharaya, Richmond Castle Edwardian mansion.</li><li>Ratnapura is world-renowned for Gems. You will be able to see the traditional manual process of gem mining in a gem pit. </li><li>The Kalutara stupa with its entirely hollow interior at Gangatilaka Vihara is the only one of its kind in the world, built-in 1960s in the ground where the Portuguese built a fort. The vast echoing interior was decorated with the 74 murals depicting various scenes from the Buddhist Jataka stories (early lives of Load Buddha)</li><li>Richmond Castle located near the palatota area is an Edwardian mansion, built-in in 1896 a fine country house in a 42-acre fruit garden estate. </li><li>Dinner and overnight stay at Avani Bentota.</li><li>Optionally you can select Bentota Beach Hotel for your stay.
