Overview

Sri Lanka became a crown colony in1815 by the Kandyan conviction. Before that, Sri Lankan village culture was syndicated with the reservoir (Wewa), Stupa (Degeba), Village (Gama), and the Buddhist temple (Pansala) from ancient times. It was mainly centred on farming. The farmers greatly obey the traditions and the rituals related to the paddy field because they knew that nourishing their families to keep them alive solely depends on the field. Interpersonal relationships in a village by means of self-fulfilment of their needs within their village was the key to that culture. However, with the colonial influence, that system was changed into a paid labour system.

This tour programme has planned to give you the experience of ancient Sri Lankan culture and how it changing to the present.

Let’s enjoy the transformation of Sri Lankan culture!

You can edit and change this itinerary online as per your interest and need.
