<ul><li>At the arrival lounge of Colombo Airport, you will be received by your chauffeur guide who will take care of you for the next 14 days and transfer you to Weligama. Approximately 2 and half hours’ drive<br></li><li>Check in to the hotel and relax for a few hours. </li><li>Explore the port city of Galle the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site. The Portuguese and the Dutch use Galle as the main seaport on the island. A lot of historical, archaeological, and architectural colonial remains are there in Galle. Of which the Galle Fort is main and the best. It is Asia’s only surviving largest fortress built by European occupiers. Even today the colonial-era buildings inside the fort, functioning as villas, antique shops, cafes, and restaurants without changing its old fashion.</li><li>Dinner and overnight stay at Parangi Weligama Bay</li></ul>

The combination of European architecture with local construction traditions has best displayed in Galle fort. The fort has two huge portcullis main gates. The gate from the land side has inscribed the image of the Dutch Coat of Arms with the year “ANNO MDCLXIX”.
