Approximately 2 and a half hours’ drive.</span><br></li><li>Meemure is the remotest village in Sri Lanka surrounded by the Knuckles mountain range and Nitro cave, a largely hidden cave deep in the southern parts of the mountain range.</li><li>Nitro Cave is the place where hundreds of thousands of bats for many hundred thousand years had made this cave a rich deposit of saltpetre. </li><li>The trail to nitro caves starts at the highest altitude point called Corbett’s Gap.
