A lot of historical, archaeological, and architectural colonial remains are there in Galle. Of which the Galle Fort, UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site is the main and the best. It is Asia's largest remaining fortress built by European occupiers. Even today the colonial-era buildings inside the fort, function as villas, antique shops, cafes, and restaurants without changing their old fashion.</li><li>Galle lighthouse the oldest in Sri Lanka was built in 1848 located in the Galle Fort area. However, the present lighthouse was erected in 1939 due to the old one was destroyed by fire in 1934.</li><li>Then transfer you to Colombo. Approximately 3 and a half hours’ drive.</li><li>En-route explore Barberyn Island Lighthouse in Beruwala, one of the 4 international lighthouses in Sri Lanka</li><li>10 minutes boat ride from Beruwala coast.
