<ul>Angampora, the traditional Sinhalese martial art is a unique feature of Sri Lankan history, culture, and heritage. It is not just art of combat but it is a combination of the power of the mind, soul, and body that embraces the forces of nature and cosmic energies.<br>
<br>It is believed that Angampora was at its zenith during King Ravana’s period. The Sinhalese mythical heroic King, Ravana has been honoured by the Angam Gurus even today by lighting oil lamps before the start of the training. King Ravana is said to be a specialist in Ayurveda medicine and mastering pressure point healing. The deadly Angam fighting style uses pressure points techniques to disable and eliminate opponents has named after King Ravana.<br>
<br>The history and the technique of the Angam never document. It has evolved from generation to generation in certain families. They have protected it as their life. During the colonial period, Angampora was ruled as illegal and shot the Angam Gurus and their families to maim them. However, it is protected.<br>

<ul>Caves in Sri Lanka have been used by the Buddhist monks as shelter monasteries since 232 BC. These caves have drip ledged to prevent the flowing of rainwater into the inhibited area in the cave.<br>
<br> In the prehistoric era caves at Ratnapura, Kegalle, and Kalutara districts were utilized for prehistoric settlements. Pahiyangala cave near Bulatsinhala has yielded evidence of anatomically modern man in Sri Lanka more than 37,000 old. Several other human remains have been found in Batadomba-Lena near Kuruwitha, Beli-Lena at Kitulgala, and Alu-Lena near Kegalle (all these are rock caves).<br>
<br>“Waulpane” limestone cave located near Pallebedda is a home for more than 200,000 bats. It is believed that “Nittevo”, a lost race in Sri Lanka sheltered in the “Mahalenama” cave located in Kumana national park.<br>
<br><b>While you are in caving excises be careful; there might be a chance to find 37,000 years old stone tools or skeleton of humans or remains of prehistoric paintings or evidence of a lost race in Sri Lanka.</b>

Bar Reef is the largest coral reef in Sri Lanka whereas Hikkaduwa is famous for its scenic coral reefs and colourful shoals, Pigeon Island is famous for its best remaining coral reefs of Sri Lanka and Adam’s bridge is rich with sea grasslands and the eggs and chicks of marine birds.<br>
<br>Other best sites for snorkeling and Scuba diving are Ambalangoda, Gintota, Galle, Unawatuna, Weligama, Kudawella, Mahawella, Dickwella, Tangalle, and the famed Great and Little Basses on the south and south-east coast, Arippu, Silavatura, Kandakuliya, and Kalpitiya on the north-west coast and Negambo, Beruwala and Bentota on the western seaboard. East coast has exceptional underwater sites at Kalmunai, Kattankudy, Batticaloa, Tirrukkovil, Kalkudah, Passikudah, and Vakkari.<br>
