<ul>Diyaluma falls, 220 m in height is ranked the 2nd highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is located 6 km away from Koslanda on the Colombo - Batticaloa, A4, highway and 38 km south of Ella. <br>
<br>It is multiple falls. Lower Diyaluma can be seen from the Colombo - Batticaloa highway however you have to hike up through the jungle to see the upper Diyaluma falls. There are natural pools at every level of the falls, you can chill and flip into the refreshing water. The hike takes only 20 min. to reach the top of the falls. </ul> |

<ul>Belihuloya area is gifted with nature’s marvel of waterfalls and streams which are originated from the surrounded mountain ranges and peaks. <br>
<br><b>Brampton Waterfalls 1 and 2</b><br>
<br>Along the Colombo-Badulla road at 165/10 bridge Brampton falls are situated and it is about 10 km from Belihuloya. Brampton Falls are formed by a water stream starting from Papulugala mountain and later that was joined with Walawe River. Both Brampton Falls 1 and 2 are approximately 6 m in tall.<br>
<br><b>Surathalee Ella Waterfalls</b><br>
<br>It is situated eight kilometers from Belihuloya, in between 169-170 kilometer posts of Colombo-Badulla main road at Marangahawela. The waterfall is 60 m tall and flows in three steps which formed by Kadawath Oya started at Elamanna Mountain.<br>
<br><b>Non-Pareil Estate Waterfalls</b><br>
<br>Along the Colombo-Badulla road, after passing Pambahinna there is a road to the left-hand side mentioning Non-Pareil Estate. Going along this road Hirikatu Oya flows on the right-hand side and it makes a few named and unnamed cascades. Non-Pareil Estate fall is one of that. It is a 40-50 m tall waterfall that flows in three steps. A number of unnamed seasonal cascades formed by Hirikatu Oya can be seen when you are going along the road to Non-Pareil Estate.<br>
<br><b>Galagama Ella Waterfalls or Kathigana Ella Waterfall</b><br>
<br>This waterfall also found on the road to the Non-Pareil estate. There is a footpath that goes to Galagama Ella Falls at the 33rd bend on the way up to the Non-Pareil estate. It is about 30-40 m tall waterfall formed by Belihuloya, considered as the tallest waterfall of Belihuloya. With a high water level, it forms a mist that covers the cascade frequently.<br>
<br><b>Pahanthudawa Ella Waterfalls</b><br>
<br>Located about 1.5 km off Belihuloya along the Ihalagalagama road for 1 km and then walk down the mountain for 1/2 km. This 5 m high Pahanthuda Ella waterfall is named for its shape of base pool which resembles a shape of a wick of the clay oil lamp.<br>
<br><b>Bambarakanda Waterfalls</b><br>
<br>This is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka with a height of 263 m Situated in the steep pine-forested slopes Kalupahana area a 5 m from the Colombo- Badulla main road and is about 18 km from Belihuloya. Bambarakanda fall originates from Kuda Oya, a branch of the Walawe River.<br>
<br>There are some more waterfalls that are easier to reach from Belihuloya but more than one hour journey from Belihuloya.<br>
<br><b>Walawa Ganga West Fall (Hulan Ella)</b><br>
<br>This 30 m waterfall has to be accessed through hard terrain and is about 53 km from Belihuloya. It is located west of the Duvili Ella Waterfall. </ul> |
