<ul>Ratnapura Saman Devalaya one of the most venerated temples in Sri Lanka has located 4 km west of Ratnapura. This shrine is dedicated to the deity “Saman” who is the presiding deity of the Sri Pada (Adam's Peak) Mountain.<br>
<br>Annual Ratnapura Maha Saman Devala Esala Perahera held between August and September brings alive the longstanding traditions that have remained on for many centuries like Kandy Esala Perahera.
