The Dutch have renovated it and completed in 1707. Batticaloa Lighthouse was built in 1913.</li><li>Oluwil lighthouse was built in 1999. It was the first lighthouse built after the British colonial era.</li><li>Sangamankanda Point is the east most point in Sri Lanka. The Sangamankanda Point Lighthouse built in 1947 with a height of 7.62 m.
