<ul><li>At the arrival lounge of Colombo Airport, you will be received by your chauffeur guide who will take care of you for the next 16 Days and transfer you to Kuruwita – approximately 2 hours’ drive.<br></li><li>Check in to the hotel and relax for a few hours.</li><li>Around 11 am start a hike to Batadombalena cave. It is an hours’ hike up a jungle-covered mountain from Kuruwita which has yielded the evidence (at 37,000BP) of an anatomically modern man in Sri Lanka referred to as “Balangoda Man”. The rock caves were provided with the basic architectural components of shelter, protective places, and solid bases, for primitive people who are looking for protection from natural threats of rain, wind, and wild beasts.
