  • At the arrival lounge of Colombo Airport, you will be received by your chauffeur guide who will take care of you for next 15 Days and transfer you to Anuradhapura. Approximately 4 and half hours’ drive.
  • Anuradhapura was the birthplace of ancient civilisation of Sri Lanka.
  • You will spend three nights at Uga Ulagalla Resort, a luxurious boutique hotel set on 58 acres of unspoiled wilderness that offers total seclusion and serenity for your idyllic accommodation.
  • You will have the opportunity to visit the 2,500-year-old ruins of Anuradhapura as well as the ancient monastery in Mihintale, the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, during your stay. Cycling, kayaking, and cooking classes are available at Ulagalla, or you can simply relax by your private plunge pool and indulge in spa treatments.

  • Check out of the hotel a bit early, and we'll take you towards the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. En-route, visit Blumberg’s 8th wonder of the world, the Sigiriya rock fortress. Approximately 1 hours’ drive.
  • Sigiriya was built by the king Kashyapa in the 5th century BC. It’s a model of a combination of highly sophisticated engineering and irrigation systems, stone techniques, and brilliant artistic tradition that shows you the unlimited talent of the ancient Sri Lankan people.
  • After descending from Sigiriya, you will be transferred to the Madulkele Tea and Eco Lodge. Approximately 3 hours’ drive. It is situated on a picturesque 25-acre tea plantation in the quaint little hamlet of Madulkelle. This lodge commands a commanding view of the Knuckles Mountain Range, a UNESCO natural world heritage site.
  • You'll spend three nights at Madulkele, where you can soak up the sun in a relaxed environment. Trekking and hiking through picturesque mountains will lead you to breathtaking views. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes made with organic vegetables grown in their own garden.

  • Today's journey takes you to Kandy, Sri Lanka's last royal kingdom. Approximately 1 and half hours’ drive. Kandy has a diverse collection of culture, religion, architecture, arts, and nature at a number of truly iconic and unique locations. You will be staying at Kandy House, a country boutique hotel.
  • You will go to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist temple. The majority of local newlyweds come to this temple to be blessed for their future life journeys. From afar, you may have heard the drum beats and the pale sound of the flutes, which are mixed together to invoke the blessings of gods and goddesses.

  • Transfer you to Ella. From Kandy to Nanuoya you will be travelling by road through Sri Lanka's tea country via Nuwara Eliya popular as "Little England In Sri Lanka".
  • From Nanuoya to Ella you will be travelling by train through the dramatic landscape of lush tea fields and mountains.
  • Next three days stay at Ella and experience the Sri Lanka's nature at its best.

  • You will travel through Sri Lanka's glorious tea country by road to Nanuoya via Nuwara Eliya and by train to Ella, following in the footsteps of the British who built this railway line through the dramatic landscape of lush tea fields 150 years ago. The most beautiful train ride in Sri Lanka is approximately 3 hours' drive from Kandy to Nanuoya railway station and 2 and a half hours' train travel to Ella.
  • The next three days will be spent at the 98 Acres Resort in Ella, where you will be able to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Sri Lanka's scenic hill country while staying in the luxurious comforts of a boutique hotel par excellence. This elegant, chic hotel is set on a scenic 98-acre tea estate surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
  • Ella is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to experience nature while also admiring pre-independence engineering and architectural marvels. The railway line between Demodara and Ella features the "Demodara Loop," a spiral rail line where the rail line going around the loop passes under itself and emerges from a tunnel. The Nine Arch Bridge, which connects Demodara and Ella by rail, is an architectural marvel. You can also go to Lipton's Seat, the summit of Poonagala Mountain, where Scottish tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton used to view his tea plantation empire.

  • The park is situated on the border between Sri Lanka's wet and dry zones, providing diversity in both flora and fauna. It is well-known for its large elephant populations and diverse wildlife. You can go to the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, which provides shelter, food, and security for baby elephants who are orphaned, injured, or motherless until they are large and strong enough to be released back into the wild.
